The Summoning of Bahamut

The painting is showing Yuna (Final Fantasy X) summoning the Bestia Bahamut, who was always, besides Diabolos and Shiva, my favorite Bestia/Guardian Force, so it was about time to draw him.

For four days I sat by and it was sometimes pretty exhausting, but in the end I'm very glad that I finally finished it. I guess, this painting is my best one so far. :)

Additionally, I created a whole tutorial about this painting and how I draw digital, because some of you already asked for it.

Excuse me, but it's currently only German!

Portraits & doodling

My first commission for this year :D
I don't even know their names, but those two girls are pretty cute, aren't they? <3

Just in case that someone wants to know it: I've drawn those portraits with black and grey colored pencils from Faber-Castell (Polychromos). Canvas: DIN A3

I have to practise more...

Some Moleskine stuff:

This is the second page of my new Moleskine sketchbook.

You can find some special symbols/things in the drawing:

- a Shuriken - a weapon from the Anime/Manga Naruto
- Ryuk's head - Shinigami from Death Note
- Hannibal's mask - from Hannibal Lecter
- Chocobo head - Final Fantasy
- LP symbol - Linkin Park
- triangle symbol - Hidan's Jashin symbol (Naruto)
- Tetris
- a Bonsai
- Playstation controller
- Naruto headband (Konohagakure symbol)
- Pi
etc.

(Drawn with an ordinary black fineliner)

I just finished reading the books "Red Dragon", "The Silence of the Lambs" and "Hannibal" by Thomas Harris.
(He got a new fan :'D)

I also watched the movies and surprisingly they are pretty good (which is rare in book adaptions) not least because of the superior actor Anthony Hopkins. In my opinion, Ralph Fiennes, Jodie Foster and Julianne Moore did a really great job as well.

*Naw* Hannibal Lecter just moved to the top of my favorite book/movie characters :D.

I've painted this portrait with watercolor and colored pencils.
I hope you like it :)

(Damn.. I have to read "Hannibal Rising" QQ)
On a similar note I must confess to you, I'm giving very serious thought... to eating your wife.   Hannibal Lecter

Study & Poster

That's a quick 30 min study of a dragonfly. It's really rough painted, I know :'D
Here are some steps:

I have made this poster for our English lessons and it shows Kissin' Kate Barlow (Kathryn Barlow), who plays a famous robber and murderer in the book "Holes" by Louis Sachar which we had to read.
Actually, it's a pretty good reading material, but I still prefer "harder" stuff :'D.

I used normal white drawing paper (size: DIN A3), which I baked in the oven to make it look brown-yellowish.
Then I burned the edges with a lighter to improve this special old look.
Finally, I glued the letters on the paper, which I had previously printed and cut out, and drew the portrait.
