Portrait Challenge

I tried this challenge before, but I wasn't that successful, so I thought: why do you not try it again?

Note: I won't upload every portrait singly (I already drew 3 ones, but I'm not really satisfied with the second one, so I don't post it yet). But, if I succeed in this challenge (hopefully), I will upload a picture including every portrait I created - a collage of a sort. ;)

Enough with the jaw, let's start :D.

The following portrait was actually the first one (above is the third):

It doesn't precisely look like me, but I am still quite happy about how it turned out. :)

However, the main thing is that I practise a lot and learn something about the light and shadow ratio in the face and how the human head itself is constructed.

Furthermore, to draw a portrait with the aid of a plain mirror or in general from real life is pretty much the most difficult thing which you can think about when drawing.
So, reproducing my face is just a minor matter ;).

That's it for now with the challenge ~

Speedpaintings

This is my entry for Animexx Calendar 2013 Competition. :)
The picture shows Aiko in a winter landscape (possible months: November, December, January).
(I chose winter, because I am currently sick of this "summer". xx")

I had some difficulties painting her face,.. it really didn't want to look like I wanted it to 'D.
Therefore, the difference between the sketch/lineart and the final result is quite big, but see it for yourself! 'D

The sketch:

As the title already implies, it's the first time, that I also captured the whole painting progress of the digital picture and saved it as a video (6 times faster - so, of course not the real speed 'D).

You can watch it here:

Once again, the speedpainting video:

Exercises #4

I'm sorry, that I haven't post anything during the last month, but I was very busy  learning and working for school. Now, I finally found some time to draw again ~

Just a small screenshot study from the movie "The Avengers" for today.
The woman is called Black Widow/Natascha Romanov and is played by the beautiful Scarlett Johansson.

I really love this movie with it's grandiose story, setting and actors/actresses - everything has been so brilliantly coordinated.

Haha, and I just fell in love with Loki/Tom Hiddleston - I already liked him in "Thor", which is also a great movie, but now I've been officially Loki'd :DD

The Avengers is really worth to watch! ;)

Anyway, here's a small Clip showing the making of my picture:

Some further sketches:

At last, here is a poster I made for my English lessons referring to the topic "very British".
It's a photomanipulation, which I created with Photoshop CS5.

Pardon me, but I just had to post this 'D:

Loki: Enough! You are, all of you are beneath me! I am a god, you dull creature, and I shall not be bullied...
[Hulk flattens Loki with repeated smashes into the floor]
The Hulk: Puny god.
